Wedding Photography at Midge Hall Methodist Church & Mytton Fold - Emma & Mark

I was so excited and really looking forward to photographing Emma and Mark’s wedding, they are one of those couples that when you meet, you instantly get on and feel like you have known them for ages.

The couple had only got in touch with me a few short weeks before their wedding date. Although they had been together for many years their decision to marry had been a relatively quick one. Both being school teachers they were restricted to a wedding during the school holidays and ideally wanted to marry before the start of the new school year in September. When I first met with them I was in for a real treat as I got to meet Zebedee. Zebedee is their dog, he’s quite an old chap and both deaf and blind, but he’s a very handsome chap with plenty of character. So when Emma told me he was coming to the wedding (and in a pink bow too) I couldn’t wait!

The perfect day

Their whole day was filled with little touches that made their day very special and unique. From the cars used to transport the bride and groom (which belong to various family members), to Mark’s brother being chauffeur for the day, the pink bow on the Mytton Fold “Cowch”, their daughter playing the piano so expertly during the breakfast, two other family members also playing the flute, the cake being made by one of their family, the table names being after scientists and literary greats (inline with the subjects they both teach) and not forgetting the star appearance of Zebedee! it was just the perfect day.

The day was rounded off with some fantastic speeches which were both moving and hilarious and finally came to a conclusion with an awesome firework display. Emma and Mark and their daughter are such a wonderful family. I’d like to thank them for letting me share their day with them and capture their forever memories. I wish them every happiness for their future together.
